Housekeeping and Accommodation Manager

Job Introduction
We are looking for a friendly, dynamic, and professional individual to join our Support Services Management team at Stowe School. This role is pivotal in the running of our busy housekeeping, laundry and staff accommodation services, and will be managing a large team to ensure a high level of service is provided throughout the year, and to drive team development.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders as well as external third parties and includes managing the staff accommodation portfolio to ensure a high-quality service delivery and statutory compliance.
You will have experience of managing a large team in a similar environment, and good housekeeping knowledge. You will have also have experience of handling budgets and will have a strong understanding of Health and Safety compliance, including COSHH management, and reviewing and implementing risk assessments. You will have good technical knowledge and be comfortable engaging with suppliers and contractors to find solutions for financial, technical and environmental efficiencies.
This is a busy and varied role and requires someone who has a good personal approach and a proactive response to meet the business needs. A flexible approach to work is needed and exceptional people skills, as you will need to work well as part of a multi skilled team and give clear direction, but also have the ability to step back and assess. Stowe is an exciting place to work and this is an integral role within the Support Services.
Stowe School
Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
