Job Introduction

Stowe School is seeking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic Grooms to join our Equestrian Centre team. Working with an established Equestrian Team, you will play a key role in the daily care of our horses and the smooth running of the Centre — helping us maintain a centre of excellence for both horses and pupils.

We have the option for this role to be a live-in position which offers on-site accommodation or you could opt to live out (occasional overnight stays may be required). You’ll be part of a committed and friendly team that supports pupils in their riding and equestrian development.

You’ll have a passion for horse welfare, be hardworking, reliable and happy to work outdoors in all weathers. You’ll enjoy working as part of a small, supportive team and take pride in maintaining high standards of care.

The role is 40 hours per week based on a 5/7 day working rota.

Stowe School

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
