Job Introduction

Are you passionate about the great outdoors and keeping spaces looking their best? Do you thrive in a hands-on role where no two days are the same? Winchester House School is looking for a Grounds and Maintenance Assistant to help maintain our stunning School grounds and facilities.

Your role will include:

  • Lawn care, pruning, and general groundskeeping
  • Assisting with school maintenance and upkeep
  • Helping maintain school minibuses
  •  Ensuring the site remains tidy, safe, and welcoming
  • Supporting with weather-related tasks like snow clearance

What We’re Looking For:

  • Someone who enjoys working outdoors in all seasons
  • A flexible and proactive approach
  • A driving licence (essential)
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety (training provided)

Winchester House School was founded in 1875 and moved to its present 18-acre site in the centre of Brackley in 1922. The heart of the School is situated in Manor House, an attractive building dating from the early 1800s. Winchester House comprises a fully co-educational nursery, pre-prep and preparatory school, offering an outstanding education to children aged 3-13 with day, occasional and weekly boarding available. In January 2021, Winchester House School became part of The Stowe Group.
