Job Introduction

Stowe School is seeking a reliable and skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our busy Estates Team. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the maintenance and upkeep of our historic school estate, working across a range of trades including, locksmithing, plumbing, decorating, fire door repairs and a particular emphasis on flooring works (carpet tiles, vinyl etc)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs to a high standard
  • Respond to requests via our maintenance system (HALO) promptly and professionally
  • Work closely with the Estates Team and wider school staff to ensure minimal disruption to school life
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety and regulatory standards (CDM, COSHH, BS standards)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in multi-trade maintenance roles
  • Good working knowledge of H&S regulations and safe working practices
  • A team player with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

Stowe School

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils.
