Multi-Trade Operative with Flooring

Job Introduction
Stowe School is seeking a reliable and skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our busy Estates Team. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the maintenance and upkeep of our historic school estate, working across a range of trades including, locksmithing, plumbing, decorating, fire door repairs and a particular emphasis on flooring works (carpet tiles, vinyl etc)
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs to a high standard
- Respond to requests via our maintenance system (HALO) promptly and professionally
- Work closely with the Estates Team and wider school staff to ensure minimal disruption to school life
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety and regulatory standards (CDM, COSHH, BS standards)
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in multi-trade maintenance roles
- Good working knowledge of H&S regulations and safe working practices
- A team player with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

Stowe School
Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
